Mrs. Dana Reed Steagall, age 40, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Heritage Medical Center.
Memorial service will be 6 Pm Friday, March 5, 2010, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Russ Countess will officiate. Burial will be 10 AM Saturday at Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-6 PM Friday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
She was born October 1, 1969, in Shelbyville, to Carolyn McClure Reed, of Shelbyville, and the late Dalton Lee Reed. She was a licensed cosmetologist and attended the Church Of Christ.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Dustin Lee Reed and Ryan Steven Williams, both of Shelbyville; a sister, Mandy Bolin, and her husband Joe, of Murfreesboro; two nieces, Lacy and Lauren Bolin. She also leaves her beloved pets, Mia and Rudy, to mourn her passing.

Dr. Carl Thomas Stubblefield, age 85, of Shelbyville, died Monday, March 8, 2010, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Dr. Lloyd Doyle will officiate. Burial will be 2 PM Wednesday at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Viola, Tennessee.
Visitation will be 4-7 PM Tuesday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
He was born October 11, 1924, in Grundy County, to the late Hugh Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Hancock Stubblefield. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School. He was a retired Radiologist and practiced in Shelbyville for many many years. He was also a former President of the Tennessee Radiological Society. He was a faithful and active member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Robin Hall, and a brother Leslie Stubblefield.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dot Troxler Stubblefield, of Shelbyville; two daughters, Carla Hall, and her husband Robert, of Murfreesboro, and Amy Cathey, and her husband Marty, of Paris, Tennessee; a son, Dr. Mark Stubblefield, and his wife Shirley, of Franklin, Tennessee; a brother, Hix Stubblefield, of Cookeville, Tennessee, and a sister, Christine Searcy, of Wakefield, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Stefan Hall, and his wife Sarah, Daniel Cathey, Matthew Cathey, Sarah Elizabeth Cathey, Luke Stubblefield, Samuel Stubblefield, Leah Stubblefied, and Aaron Stubblefield.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
The grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and honorary pallbearers will be the “Food For Thought Methodist Men’s Group”.

Mrs. Elizabeth Wells Brown, age 100, of Shelbyville, died Monday, March 8, 2010, at her home after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Dr. Robin Kimbrough will officiate, with burial to follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 AM until time of service Saturday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
She was born March 23, 1909 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to the late Thomas and Mary Mrytle Terry Wells. She was a homemaker and a member of Scott United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Clarence Brown, a son, James Clarence Brown, and three sisters, Catherine Johnson, Birdie Lytle, and Eileen Wells.
She is survived by five daughters, Ruby Campbell and her husband Bruce, Ruth Maxwell and her husband Denny, Rachel Batts and her husband Burnice, Birdie Smith, and Katie Beard; one son, Hershel L. Brown, all of Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by four sisters, Alaya and A’Miyah Hamler, Keviyanna Chunn and Kaydence Moss; two great great grandmothers, Mary E. Williams and Jennie Mae Hardin; two great grandmothers, Mary F. Hamler and Mary (Bill) Regynski; two grandmothers, Lisa Hamler “Bam Bam” and Brenda Mayes; Grandfather, Jesse Syler and Kevin Chunn all of Shelbyville; great grandfather John T. Hamler, of California; Special aunts, Candria Hamler, Marie Leslie, and Jessica Leverette; a host of great aunts, uncle, and cousins. Mr. Allan Van DaCosta, age 65, of Shelbyville died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was born February 28, 1945, in Paget, Bermuda, to the late Manuel and Stella Santos DaCosta. Before his retirement, he was a fuel truck drive with Bedford Farmers Co-op and former owner of the Coffee Break, a Shelbyville landmark on the Shelbyville Square. He attended the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dolores Medeiros DaCosta, a daughter, Amanda DaCosta and granddaughter, Savannah DaCosta, all of Shelbyville; four brothers, Joseph DaCosta, and his wife Barbara, and David DaCosta, both of Shelbyville, and Joel DaCosta, and his wife Anna, and Manuel DaCosta, both of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by a sister in law, Jane Marshall, and her husband Joe, a brother in law, Art Madieros, and his wife Elaine, and a mother in law, Mary Madieros, all of Canada. Also left to mourn his passing is also special family, Joan and Fred Pimentel and William Medeiros, all of Shelbyville, and many nieces nephews, and friends in Shelbyville, and all over the World.

She was born June 9, 1914, in Bedford County, Tennessee, to the late Richard Newt and Novella Butler Stacey. She worked at Norris Hosiery Mill and was a member of Cavalry Baptist Church. She was known for being an exceptional cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arther Monroe Hatchett; her son William Howard Hatchet, Sr. in 1991; and three brothers, John Milton Stacey, James Clark Stacey, and Richard “Bully” Stacey.
